Road traffic accident and injury at work claims are very common occurrence in Ireland. Therefore, it is good to be aware that your GP is always involved in your initial assessment and further management in terms of your future, potential compensation.
For these reasons, if you sustained some injuries, you should contact your GP immediately to have medical assessment and confirmation of your health problem. This is very important that you apply for compensation a few months later. If your injury seems to be serious you can attend Emergency Department (see University Hospital) or Local Injury Unit (see St. John’s Hospital) to get first medical assistance there. Always ask the staff for a discharge letter to be sent to your GP (keep a business card with all details of our GP in your wallet always).
After having got first aid at hospital or at your GP surgery you can address to solicitor who can claim compensation on your behalf.
